MEET THE PRODUCER - Ravelle Thomas
Hi, I’m Ravelle Thomas.
Originally from the UK and now based in Toronto, I’m a producer with over a decade of international experience across scripted and unscripted TV, films, music videos, live events, commercials, and more. I’ve worked with companies like Disney, Apple, BBC, ABC, Discovery, Hallmark, Bell Media and others, managing productions across Africa, the Middle East, America, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
From union and non-union sets to celebrity-led projects and indie shoots, I’ve managed teams, budgets, logistics and delivery across every stage of production. But beyond the credits, I genuinely care about the work. I love the process of turning ideas into stories that move people, especially those who don’t usually see themselves reflected on screen.
Whether it’s a big budget series or a small self-funded short, I bring the same heart, work ethic and creative problem solving to every project. Coming up in this industry, I rarely saw people who looked like me behind the scenes, let alone in leadership roles. I was the first in my family and community to step into film and TV, so I know what it’s like to be the only one in the room, figuring it out without a roadmap.
That lived experience shapes how I lead, how I create and why I care so deeply about building spaces where people can show up fully, thrive and make great work.
